Chapter 1:  What Happened: Jem and Scout wonder upon a young boy, who is four, that offers to read anything of theres. Now obviously this is a little bit weird, but Jem and Scout act as if it is nothing. They tell him it is not impressive even though I have never heard of a four year old who offers to read for you.  The people in this chapter were: Scout, Jem, Dill, and Atticus  Literary elements: Allusion: Scout talks about the battle of Hasting, Andrew Jackson, and the Creek War Chapter 2:   What Happened:  There new found friend Dill has to leave town, however this is fine with Jem and Scout because they have to go back to school anyway. Miss Caroline, Scouts new teacher, starts to tell him that it is bad that he knows how to read and it can hurt him in the future not knowing the right way to read. Miss Caroline hits scout with a ruler to punish him for knowing how to read.  The people in the chapter were: Scout, Jem, Atticus, Miss Caroline, Mr. Cun...
