  NEW VOCABULARY Austere: I was acting Austere while I was attending the Tom Robinson case. Habiliment: I was wearing habiliments to the Tom Robinson case. Obliquely:  (in a oblique manner or direction) Prerogative: I used my prerogative to get into the water park for free Acrimonious: def ( caustic, stinging, or bitter in nature, speech, behavior) Corroborate: def (to make more certain)  Mollify: def (to mitigate or soften) Temerity: def (reckless, boldness) Bovine: def (cowlike, or related to a sub species of bull) Veneer: def ( A thin layer of wood or other material) Connive: I corraborate to set boundaries for what is okay to say in school. 

 Subpoena: I used my subpoena of evidence to present before the court (Noun)  Fey: I told them in a fey way that I would not make it through the night (Adjective)  Venerable: I am a venerable member of congress. (Adjective)   Uncouth: I am the uncouth brother who embarrasses my family. (Adjective)   Sundry: Charlie had his sundry attitude as he was acting diverse. (Adjective)  Begrudge: I begrudged as people were begging me for money. (Verb)   Elucidate: I elucidated the point of my poorly written essay to give everybody an idea on what it was about. 1.  Finch left Britain and came to Alabama to trap and study medicine  2. Battle of Hasting, Creek war, Tarzan   3.  Dill is a young boy who is smart, nice and also lies a little 4. It talks about how Jem broke his arm when he was thirteen. 5. He gets yelled at and hit because he knows how to read and apparently that is very bad.  6. She is the finches house keeper, she is also a good cook for them  7. He is poor but he is a honest and good kid. He will not take anything unless he can give or pay it back in full 8.  Atticus knows the Cunninghams are struggling so he helps anyway he can  9.  Yes, she learns that guests are important.  10. You don't know somebody's position or why they are at that stance unless you are them, so judging them is not right 11. They only go to school for one day and they are frowned upon for that. 

Chapter 1:  What Happened: Jem and Scout wonder upon a young boy, who is four, that offers to read anything of theres. Now obviously this is a little bit weird, but Jem and Scout act as if it is nothing. They tell him it is not impressive even though I have never heard of a four year old who offers to read for you.  The people in this chapter were: Scout, Jem, Dill, and Atticus  Literary elements: Allusion: Scout talks about the battle of Hasting, Andrew Jackson, and the Creek War Chapter 2:   What Happened:  There new found friend Dill has to leave town, however this is fine with Jem and Scout because they have to go back to school anyway. Miss Caroline, Scouts new teacher, starts to tell him that it is bad that he knows how to read and it can hurt him in the future not knowing the right way to read. Miss Caroline hits scout with a ruler to punish him for knowing how to read.  The people in the chapter were: Scout, Jem, Atticus, Miss Caroline, Mr. Cun...
