TKAMB 27 and up

 Chapter 27: Bob Ewell decides to not take responsibility for losing his job and blame it completely on Atticus because apparently Atticus stole his job. However this was just Bob finding an escape for what he did wrong. Somebody also broke into Judge Taylors house while he was home alone. It is inferred it is probably Bob Ewell after still being mad about the trial and everything leading up and down from it. Later Bob Ewell starts to follow Helen Robinson to work, in essence he is silently harrassing the whole town is his own way. He gets confronted about this by her boss and told that he better stop, and if he didn't they would have problems. In the last part of this chapter Aunt Alexandra makes the point that Mr. Bob Ewell has been harassing everybody that was related to the case at all in anyway.  Literary elements:  "John looked at him as if he were a three legged chicken or a square egg." - Simile  "I'm about as radical as Cotton Tom Hefflin" - Similie...

Chapter 1:  What Happened: Jem and Scout wonder upon a young boy, who is four, that offers to read anything of theres. Now obviously this is a little bit weird, but Jem and Scout act as if it is nothing. They tell him it is not impressive even though I have never heard of a four year old who offers to read for you.  The people in this chapter were: Scout, Jem, Dill, and Atticus  Literary elements: Allusion: Scout talks about the battle of Hasting, Andrew Jackson, and the Creek War Chapter 2:   What Happened:  There new found friend Dill has to leave town, however this is fine with Jem and Scout because they have to go back to school anyway. Miss Caroline, Scouts new teacher, starts to tell him that it is bad that he knows how to read and it can hurt him in the future not knowing the right way to read. Pain.

 1. It shows that people may over exaggerate pain, especially when that is the main focus. She says that when people are doing sports or aren't focusing on the pain it doesn't hurt as bad as when they can sit back and whale about the pain.  2. She relates it to child birth which is known as one of the worst pains you can experience, she said our child birth is awful because we make it that way, however women go back to work the same day in the fields after giving birth. 3. The experience of pain is subjective because people will get hurt during a sports game such as soccer and not realize it until somebody points it out or they see it. If that is when it starts hurting then you are subjecting to the pain and only feeling the pain because you are letting yourself feel it.  4. The illusion of pain is described as the reader thinking they are feeling pain that is not possible.  5. Peoples pain level is usually based off of how most people react to it, if I broke my leg ...
 1. She is trying to tell people about racism and how ending up in prison is worse than a good college  2. She says that it is up to you to decide what you want to do with yourself, not anybody else's 3. Take matters into you own hands  4. Most likely was impacted by racism and is trying to inform people about it. 5. She does it in level of importance so people see most important to least.  6.  It gives stereo typical comments that may occur in more of a stereo typical white person scene.  7. She uses college and prison to show a stereo typical white and black, which shows a better understanding of what may occur on campus.
