These ten pages were devised to give the introduction to the main character Montag. He was met by a young lady. She is talking to him about many things and when I say many, I mean many. She floods him with a barrage of question, one of the questions she asked was if fire fighters used to put fires out instead of starting them.
Literary elements: Situational Irony = It was like coming into a cold marbled room of a mausoleum after the moon has set. "Darkness but moving also was the dark sun" this is a foreshadow. She says there is a man on the moon which is allusion.
