Act 1:

Scene 1: The prince breaks the long lasting fued between the Capulets and the Montagues 

Scene 2: The father tells the man trying to marry his daughter that she is not old enough and to wait longer.

Scene 3: The Nurse and Ms. Capulet try to convince Juliet she is ready for marriage. 

Scene 4: Benvolio and Mercutio convince Romeo to join them in a Masquerade. 

Scene 5: Romeo crashes a party and kisses Juliet for the first time.

Chapter 1:  What Happened: Jem and Scout wonder upon a young boy, who is four, that offers to read anything of theres. Now obviously this is a little bit weird, but Jem and Scout act as if it is nothing. They tell him it is not impressive even though I have never heard of a four year old who offers to read for you.  The people in this chapter were: Scout, Jem, Dill, and Atticus  Literary elements: Allusion: Scout talks about the battle of Hasting, Andrew Jackson, and the Creek War Chapter 2:   What Happened:  There new found friend Dill has to leave town, however this is fine with Jem and Scout because they have to go back to school anyway. Miss Caroline, Scouts new teacher, starts to tell him that it is bad that he knows how to read and it can hurt him in the future not knowing the right way to read. You don't know somebody's position or why they are at that stance unless you are them, so judging them is not right 11. They only go to school for one day and they are frowned upon for that.
